Problem Note 54526: Batch commands for the SAS® Deployment Backup and Recovery tool might display an incorrect location for the backup if a central vault is configured
If a central vault is configured for the SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery tool, when you run batch commands, the output might show an incorrectly location for the backups. It might show the location as being the local vault, even when a central vault has been configured for use with the tool.
Two batch commands that display information about the backup location are sas-backup and sas-list-backups. The location of the backup is specified in the output for these commands in the field backUpLocation. This example shows a portion of the output after running the sas-backup batch command and shows the backUpLocation in the local vault.

By default, the backUpLocation field contains the location of the backup files in the local vault. Beginning with the second maintenance release for SAS 9.4, when a central vault is configured for the tool, a local vault is no longer used to permanently store backups. When a central vault is configured, backups are automatically deleted from the local vault by the tool after they have been successfully copied to the central vault. If no central vault is configured, the backups are still stored in the local vault.
The problem documented here has no impact on the functionality of backup or restore using the Deployment Backup and Recovery tool. This problem is related only to the way the tool displays the location for the backup files when a central vault is configured and happens because the backUpLocation field still specifies the local vault for the backup when instead it should be updated to specify the central vault.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
